I think we all know why they want to put a meter on your line and it isn’t for any of the arguments that they tell you it is for. It is to stifle competition, such as Netflix or Hulu or [insert any media streaming service here]. The average digital cable tv bill is now almost $75/month and just keeps going up. When has anyone’s cable bill gone down? Never. If you do the math, I mean it is a no-brainer really: Netflix for $8/month plus Hulu Plus for $8/month.
