A Note to Readers About Charter, Time Warner Cable, and Bright House Networks

With the transition from Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks to Charter Communications now complete, starting today all stories referring to Charter/Spectrum, Time Warner Cable or Bright House Networks will be found under “Charter Spectrum” in our provider list.

As long as we don’t want to add anything, change anything, and can afford to stick with the package/services/price we’ve got, things are just *GREAT*! And it’s been said that corporate mergers that eliminate competition are awful…

THEY’RE WORSE than awful. I’m failing to see how the country can get anywhere close to measurable greatness when we can’t even get to sort of kind of okay. We’ve lost our right to privacy online, we’ve lost the freedom that comes with having OPTIONS and economic mobility is looking more like a lie one tells until they themselves believe it truth. I hope the ‘Randians’ choke on their meal from this bitter harvest while I shrug.

What to do…it’s not as though we can just return to the way life was before all the technology we rely on to connect around the world. We’ve been sold to corporations who aren’t about to pay *us*.
