Important Reminder: Rep. Eric Massa’s (D-NY) Second Town Hall Meeting Tonight

Phillip Dampier April 10, 2009 Events, Public Policy & Gov't 5 Comments

Congressman Massa is holding his second town hall meeting in the district tonight.  WROC-TV is rumored to be there, so if you are passionate on this issue, and you can go, please do so.  I cannot be there tonight, but by now you guys know what needs to be said.  This may also be the first opportunity to learn about the new legislation he is proposing.  Feel free to report back on the meeting and any links to any uploaded video and we’ll get them up over the weekend.

If this is going to be on WROC, I might see about aiming a TV antenna towards Rochester and using my PC’s Digital TV Tuner to watch it if it is on.

I couldn’t make it tonight. I was planning to, but someone in my family had emergency surgery a few hours before the meeting.

I hope people showed up and spoke their minds about this issue. If anyone did attend, please let the rest of us know how it went.

Thanks!

He knows it will be a tough fight and strongly recommends we use any grassroots methods we can to gain national support on this issue. Stopthecap.com is a great start, but it cant stop here. Tell everyone you can to write their reps and tell them to support the Internet Fairness Act, even if they are not a Time Warner Customer. Make sure you let them know, that this is not just a Rochester, Greensboro,… Read more »

Hope Avenue City/Town: Rochester, NY This is a peaceful and organized protest. It is my understanding that permits have been obtained and the city has been informed. Carpooling is being set up from the RIT campus, and as the TW store is on a main street, you may have to park and walk a bit to… Read more »
