Jonathan Chaplin, a director at Credit Suisse Holdings USA Inc., talks about competition between Verizon Communications Inc. and AT&T Inc. for customers for Apple Inc.’s iPhone. AT&T spent much of the last quarter discounting new iPhones down to as little as $50 to keep customers from heading to Verizon Wireless.
