Call to Action: Stop the Comcast-NBC Merger — It’s a Bad Deal for Consumers

As you know, the proposed merger between Comcast and NBC Universal is an important moment in our effort to stop big corporations from controlling our media.

But the FCC and Department of Justice may be about to approve this deal. This would have serious consequences for Minnesotans and consumers across America.

I signed it but I don’t have any confidence that it will stop the deal. We might as well say that we are living in the age of, “We the United States of Corporations”, because it is hard to compete with an entity throwing millions of dollars around compared to your contribution, which is most likely tiny in comparison. Thank you Supreme Court for screwing “We the people” over.

I agree with you, this is just insane. This merger will not only screw us over, but it’ll also become just another way to gain back doors into our privacy eventually. This has got to stop. It’s almost as if The united states doesn’t believe in privacy anymore. They can tell you crap is all classified all day and you can’t touch it, but the minute you try to tell them the same thing. pft…good luck.
