I feel I'm an average user but can still use 40GBs of bandwidth a month.

I watch some old tv shows online and play online games and Activeworlds 3d (build your own reality) stuff which includes 3D shopping.
Not to mention watching online video clips of news and such.
Add Ebay to that. Many have videos of their products or have slide shows.
Shopping online can take up a lot of bandwidth.

I also have a PS3 but I can't hook it up in fear I'll to over my 20GBx2 modems of bandwidth and there is no other provider in our area.
For 40GBs/mo, I pay over $100.00.

My speeds as promised for our local broadband provider is 2.Mb/s
BUT, what is delivered is .25 up to .6.
Our isp goes down at 8pm and comes back up at 7:30am every night as well.

I, or rather my isp, should be evaluated. To me, they are a fantastic candidate for evaluation.
They are the sole broadband provider in our area and getting away with this type of service.

Again, I'm a general user, not a mega but according to the FCC, since I could go over 30GBs/mo. I don't qualify?

I wish the bandwidth issue would become more popular in the news.
Seems the ISPs focus on speeds and not the amount you get with your package.
Speed means nothing with out the bandwidth to use it.

I can't click on the video above...due to bandwidth issues.
Another broadband subscriber that can't keep up on the news due to bandwidth limits. :(

I'm a heavy downloader. So that's not going to work for me either. I seem to miss all the good things like this.

I'm disqualified already. Steam leaves my two DSL lines running maxed for hours on end some days and I'm easily blowing past 30GB.

I'm really wondering why they want to disqualify heavy Internet users however. If they are capable of making a router that can measure Internet speed, generate logs and such, I'm sure they are capable of making router firmware that can measure the speeds a user is receiving or sending as well as perform other tests. I think that would give SamKnows and the FCC some more accurate data. Plus, there's a better chance of them hitting some faster connections than going with the below 30GB category. If it weren't for such limitations and if it were for better use of their router's software, I suppose more people would be more willing to help them out a bit with collecting some data about their connections.

But I suppose whatever works is what works. I best hope it gives accurate information that everyone is seeing however.
