Ouch. I suppose this is what happens when fine print is not read and when companies do not warn people of such things. Last year I renewed the contract with Verizon that I had in order to update my 4 year old package as well as to maintain the DSL price, and one of the things the agent did mention and did in fact stress was the fact that I was signing an agreement with the company and if I were to cancel, they would charge me an ETF. Verizon was up front about this. Frontier, haven't called them to renew anything recently.
