Kevin: A question. How can you pull a yellow book ad? I'm sure you have to pay for them up front and with a contract. Once the book is printed an ad is not simple going to go away a
Yes one could change their phone service even change their phone number but the would be contrary to using the ad you already have in the printed word of a phone book.
They are not going to print change sheets every time something
changes. Sit back till the next book is printed you no longer subscribe
to a new ad.

I got an email at the beginning of October saying i had gone over my bandwidth cap. i didn't even realize that our area had started the cap. i was sent no letter saying we had a set amount of GB per month starting whenever (found out it started in beginning of fall).

i called up Customer Service & yelled at the guy to get his supervisor on the phone immediately (skip the middle man, they never know what's going on). then i proceeded to tell her off that i never agreed to be a test subject. i said it's bullsh*# that we are not given a choice to be part of an experiment that will TAKE OUR MONEY AS PART OF THE TRIAL. the supervisor apoligized (after trying to give me a BS reason the company needs to cap me for). & then said she would put a note on our account not to charge us for going over the bandwidth cap. i settled for it for now, but i'll have to check the bill at end of October to verify.

after getting off the phone with AT&T, i sent a mass email to friends & family telling them to call AT&T & do the same. alot of my relatives had no idea we were being capped as well. This weekend i plan to write to a representative & try to get them on board with HR2902.

i don't have high hopes as Representative & Senators are both Republican & will probably be against the legislation. Nevertheless, will try anyways. Maybe the voice of the people is still heard, even in our community :)

"I wanted to also cancel...my business Yellow Pages ads"

There's your whole story, right there. If you just call and say "I'm going to cancel my service", you're going to get a standard "I'm sorry we can't convince you to stay" response. But when you threaten to pull phone book ads - which in the yellow pages run in the upper hundreds to thousands of dollars, that's when people listen. For the average customer, this really doesn't offer any hope whatsoever.
